Talmadge Paul Ã¢â‚¬Å"PiccoloÃ¢â‚¬Â Ã¢â‚¬Å"PicÃ¢â‚¬Â Douglas, 66, of Sun River Terrace, IL, died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at The University of Chicago Medicine. Visitation will be Friday, May 16, 2014 at Lax Mortuary from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., with time set aside from 6:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. for friends to share reflections with the family. Visitation will be observed on Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at Shiloh Full Gospel Baptist Church. Reverend Alan Roundtree will officiate and Reverend John Noble will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Momence Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lax Mortuary, Kankakee. Talmadge Paul Ã¢â‚¬Å"PiccoloÃ¢â‚¬Â Ã¢â‚¬Å"PicÃ¢â‚¬Â Douglas was born February 19, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Irene and Arthur B. Dotson. At a young age he accepted Christ and was baptized at the Greater Goodwill Baptist Church in Momence, IL. He received his schooling in the Momence School District. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the former Sarah Gray on February 23, 1973, and to their union two children were born. Mr. Douglas had been employed by Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights, IL and also had worked for A O. Smith in Kankakee, IL for 17 years and Bunge in Kankakee, IL for 11 years. Piccolo enjoyed shooting pool and participated in many pool tournaments. He also had a passion for cars and had a collection of vintage automobiles. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Sarah Douglas of Sun River Terrace, IL; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Shawn Douglas of Indianapolis, IN, Christopher and Yolanda Douglas of Montgomery, IL, Carlton and Kristen Douglas of Carey, IL and Larry and Tanya Gray of University Park, IL; one daughter and son-in-law, Kidadah and William Watson of Mesa, AZ; three aunts, Lottie Daniels of Chicago, IL, Mary Douglas of Corona, CA and Gloria Douglas of Kankakee, IL; three nieces, Dawn and Terrance Watson of Kankakee, IL, Teresa Mittons of Chicago, IL and Nicole and Timothy Vaughn of Michigan City, IN; one nephew, Eric and Antoinette Mittons of Tennessee; four great-nieces; one great-nephew; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dianna Branch of Indianapolis, IN, Gloria Gray of Kankakee, IL, Patrisha and Earbie Johnson and Sheila Taylor, all of Louisville, KY, Jan Taylor of Kankakee, IL, Darrol and Ilene Taylor and Emmanuel and Debbie Taylor, all of Milwaukee, WI, Tyrone Taylor of Texas, Raphael Taylor, Denise Gray, Deborah Gray and Darlene Gray, all of Chicago, IL; special friends, Curtis Butler of Hopkins Park, IL, Dave Terhune of University Park, IL and Eddie Lee of Kankakee, IL, and a host of special cousins and friends, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a stepdaughter, Eureka Gray; a sister, Betty Mittons and his maternal grandparents, Willie and Eva Douglas.
