Jacqueline Love-King

Jacqueline Love-King, born July 9, 1942, in Kankakee, Illinois, was the beloved daughter of Leroy Love Sr. and Blanche (Freeman) Love. From an early age, she embraced her faith and was baptized as a young girl, beginning a lifelong walk with God that shaped her character, her service, and her love for others. Jacqueline was a devoted member of the House of Prayer Apostolic Church of God, where she served faithfully as a Mother of the Church. Her presence was steady, nurturing, and wisdom-filled, which made her a pillar in both her family and her church community. In September of 1994, Jacqueline united in marriage with Charles King, and together they built a life grounded in companionship, faith, and mutual respect. Jacqueline dedicated many years to serving others as a mental health technician at Manteno Mental Health and Tinley Park Mental Health Center. Her compassion, strength, and patience touched countless lives. Jacqueline lived with a vibrant joy that was unmistakable. She had a passion for Bingo, loved to dance, and had a gift for making friends wherever she went, she truly never met a stranger. Fiercely independent and unwavering in her beliefs, she stood up for her rights and taught her children to do the same. She encouraged them to be prompt, responsible, and confident, passing down values that will continue to guide them. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, warmth, and respect. Jacqueline Love-King will be remembered for her generous heart, her spirited personality, and the way she cared deeply for everyone around her. She leaves to cherish her memory, five daughters, Kim Love of Bourbonnais, IL, Tamela Love-Fisher, Carla (Wayne) Love-Woods, and Shawn Love, all of Kankakee, IL, and Erica (Ronald) Edwards of Hampton, GA; three brothers, David Lee Crisp of Milwaukee, WI, Leroy (Alisha) Love Jr. and Steven Gray, both of Kankakee, IL; six sisters, Rhoda Mitchell of Champaign, IL, Yolanda Love-Kimble of Tallahassee, FL, Deltina Love of Bourbonnais, IL, Jean Peterson of Memphis, TN and Paula Williams of Chicago, IL; bonus daughters, Denise Myart, Linda Terrell and Yvette Ousley, all of Kankakee, IL; special nieces, Pamela Mitchell of Champaign, IL and Eurethia Love of Woodstock, GA; special nephews, Michael Mitchell, Andre Mitchell, and Marlon Mitchell all of Champaign, IL; a bonus nephew, Jeffrey Morrow of East St. Louis, MO; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles King; three sisters, Jeanette Johnson, Sandra Love-Williams, and Aloma Prince; a son-in-law, Dennis Fisher; and two great-grandsons, TyQuan Herron and Keelan Love. Her light will continue to shine through the hearts of everyone that knew and loved her, especially her five daughters.
