WALTER ARNOLD SR. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Walter Arnold Sr., 90, of Sun River Terrace, IL, died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at his home. Visitation will be Friday, July 17, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Lax Mortuary and again on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at The Life Center, 175 S. Wall Street. Bishop Randall Gordon will officiate and Pastor Claudius Anderson will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Momence Cemetery. Walter Arnold Sr. was born October 13, 1924 in Sunflower, Mississippi to Beatrice Hart and Willie Arnold. He was a member of House of Prayer Church of God and also was a member of the Masonic Order. Mr. Arnold served in the United States Army. He was employed by Pepsi Cola and Wesco Auto. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and listening to blues music. He leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Walter Arnold Jr. of Kankakee, IL; two daughters and one son in law, Mae Brown Tynes and Milton Tynes of Sun River Terrace, IL and Tammy Hart of Oak Park, IL; a sister-in-law, Ary Arnold of Riverdale, IL; special friends, Dorthy Jasper of Kankakee, IL and Albert Bates of Minneapolis, MN; 20 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Corrine Arnold, his parents, one son, Eugene Arnold, one sister, Willie Mae Arnold, one brother, Leon Arnold and three grandchildren, Chris, Kirk and Willie.
