Vincent Carnell Williams, 57, of Kankakee, IL, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Presence St. Mary’s Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 12:00 P.M. at Lax Mortuary. District Elder Clyde Lockett will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded. Vincent Carnell Williams was born on June 13, 1957 in Gary, IN, the youngest child of Twillie, Sr. and Marie Williams. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerald R. Williams. Vincent graduated from Roosevelt High School in Gary, IN and attended Purdue University-Calumet and Kankakee Community College. He was employed part-time as a maintenance worker for the Illinois Highway Department through Thresholds, until his health failed. Vincent leaves to cherish his memory, his parents of Gary, IN; brother, Twillie (Jeannie)Williams, Jr. of South Holland, IL; sister, Jeanette (Timothy) Shepard of Gary, IN; five nieces, Kimberly (Faisal) Baig, Bernetta (Eddie) Sain, Berlinda Williams, Celia Shepard, and Brittany Shepard; two nephews, Stephen Williams and Timothy (LaTisha) Shepard and a host of great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends and special friends at Thresholds.
