ROBERTA BURNS Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Roberta Burns, 60, of Pembroke Township, IL, transitioned into eternity on May 17, 2016 in Chicago, IL. Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2016 from 9:30 A.M. until time of funeral services at 10:30 A.M. at Shiloh Full Gospel Baptist Church. Reverend Alan Roundtree Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Momence Cemetery. Roberta Burns, fondly known as Ã¢â‚¬Å"Pinky,Ã¢â‚¬Â was born February 2, 1956 in Clarksdale, Mississippi to Floyd and Ethel Mae Moore. As a child, she loved singing and sang in the Adult Choir. She attended Bryant Elementary School on the west side of Chicago. She was baptized at an early age by Pastor Jessie Howard at Mt. Zion M.B. Church. She later joined Shiloh Full Gospel Baptist Church under the leadership of her brother, Pastor Alan Roundtree Sr. In 1968, she moved to Pembroke, IL. She was united in marriage to Richard Burns, he preceded her in death. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving mother, Ethel Mae Moore of Pembroke Township, IL; her son and daughter-in-law, Erick and Chloe Richardson of Austin, Texas; her grandchildren, Keonna Starr, Brandon and Ericka Richardson, and Adrienne and Robin Self; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Zetha Roundtree, Floyd Moore and Johnny B. Moore, all of Chicago, IL, Harry Moore of Oceanside, CA, Floyd and Debra Richardson of Chattanooga, TN, Reverend Alan and Terry Roundtree of Pembroke Township, IL, Robert and Cheryl Roundtree of Colorado and David and Oacha Roundtree of Kankakee, IL; sisters and brother-in-law, Hattie Mae Chandler of Indiana, Annie Lee Solomon of Louisiana, Janice and Jimmy Leonard of Mississippi and Lucinda Moore of Wisconsin; a very special Auntie, Ella Mae Lewis, Ã¢â‚¬Å"Duck;Ã¢â‚¬Â a very special friend, Pharis Newborn of Pembroke Township, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Floyd Moore; three brothers, Eddie Roundtree, Bert Moore and Tommy Lee Roundtree; one sister, Verline Clay; one sister-in-law, Velma Moore and one brother-in-law, Reverend Ozana Solomon.
