RIAN MAIDEN Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rian Sherrod Maiden, Ã¢â‚¬Å"ReboÃ¢â‚¬Â 36, of Kankakee, IL, died July 5, 2014. Visitation will be Friday, July 11, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Lax Mortuary with time set aside from 7:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. for friends to share reflections with the family. Visitation will be held again on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. until time of Funeral Services at 10:00 A.M. at Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Ernest Rucker will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory. Memorial donations may be made to Eloise Edwards Benefit at SDC Employee Credit Union. Rian Sherrod Maiden, Ã¢â‚¬Å"ReboÃ¢â‚¬Â was born January 11, 1978 in Kankakee, IL to Adrian M. Maiden Sr. and Eloise Edwards. Rian grew up in Sun River Terrace. He graduated from Momence High School in 1996 and attended Kankakee Community College from which he received an associate degree in Computer Aided Drafting. He earned his CDL and was a truck driver for Swift Trucking Service and was currently employed by Reinhart Food Corporation. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church where he was an honorary choir member. He enjoyed fishing, music, playing bags, cards and dominoes, entertaining others and spending time with family and friends. He leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Adrian M. Maiden Sr. of Harvey, IL and Eloise Edwards of Sun River Terrace, IL; one son, Tariq D. Maiden and two stepchildren, Marcus Becker and Quemya Lawrence, all of Kankakee, IL; four brothers, Adrian M. (Roxanne) Maiden Jr. and Terrance L. Maiden, both of Kankakee, IL, Christian Maiden of Harvey, IL and Scottie Edwards of Tennessee; four sisters, Jolan C. (Jammie)Shell of Sun River Terrace, IL, Andrea S. Collins of Joliet, IL and Angela (Lorenzo) Buggs and Wanda (Fernando) Norman both of Tennessee; special friends, Christopher Pitts, Ronald Hundley and Sabrina Ã¢â‚¬Å"SnootaÃ¢â‚¬Â Macon, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Henry Ã¢â‚¬Å"SonÃ¢â‚¬Â Edwards; his sister, Jannie L. Smith; his maternal grandmother, Johnnie Mae Burks and his paternal grandfather, James Maiden.
