LEONIA GREEN Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Leonia Mae Green, 77, of Kankakee, IL, died Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Presence St. MaryÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Hospital. Visitation will be Friday, June 12, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Lax Mortuary and again on Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. until time of Funeral Services at 10:00 A.M. at Second Baptist Church. Reverend Tyler Prude will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory. Leonia Mae Green was born July 2, 1937 in Marianna, Arkansas to John Henry Glenn and Drucilla Bracey Billips. Mrs. Green had worked over 33 years in housekeeping at Riverside Medical Center and Days Inn. She was united in marriage to Napoleon Green Sr. in 1954. Mrs. Green will be remembered for taking care of everyone. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards and watching westerns. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son and daughter-in-law, Napoleon and Virginia Green of Kankakee, IL, one brother and sister-in-law, Albert and Blanche Hairston of Bradley, IL; two sisters, Julia Billips of Kankakee, IL and Bessie Willingham of St. Louis, MO; a brother in law, John Calmes of Kankakee, IL and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Fleming and Julia Bracey; two brothers, James C. Glenn and Albert Lee Glenn; a sister, Gloria Calmes and a niece, Bobbie Price.
