    JONATHAN WILLIS SR.

    October 12, 1978 - April 25, 2018

    Jonathan LeMarr Willis Sr., 39, of Bourbonnais, IL, passed away on April 25, 2018 at Franciscan Health Olympia Fields. Visitation will be Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at Lax Mortuary. Reverend Jimmy West will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory. Jonathan LeMarr Willis Sr. was born October 12, 1978 in Kankakee, IL to Johnny Lee and Ruth Davis Willis. Mr. Willis graduated from St. Anne High School and attended classes at Kankakee Community College. He was employed as a diesel technician by Travel Centers of America and had also worked many years at Lyon Construction Company in Pembroke Township, IL. He enjoyed fishing, and was a member of the Bass Fishing Club, hunting and working on cars. He leaves to cherish his memory, his fiancée, Patricia Burton of Bourbonnais, IL; one son, Jonathan Willis Jr. of Bourbonnais, IL; one daughter, Destanie Willis of Bourbonnais, IL; his father, Johnny Lee Willis of Mississippi; his mother, Ruth Willis of Waynesville, MO; one brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy Lee Jr. and Mikyya Bynum of Kankakee, IL; four sisters and one brother-in-law, JonNann West and JonNeice Willis, both of Waynesville, MO, Sam and James Brown of Chicago, IL and Katrina Willis of Madison, WI; two nephews, Karranja-Roshummari Willis and Jimmy Lee Bynum III; three nieces, Aundrea Bridgeman, Jimikka Bynum and Rani Willis, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Annie Mary Staples; a brother-in-law, Aaron West; two aunts, Shirley Gaines and Lela M. Cattledge; and three uncles, Larry Nelson, Rufus Cattledge and James Allen.
