Joanie White, 57, of Manteno, died Monday, February 15, 2016 at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights, IL. Visitation will be Monday, February 22, 2016 from 4:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Lax Mortuary and again on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at Second Baptist Church. Reverend Tyler Prude will officiate and Reverend Joe Fair will deliver the eulogy. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the family. Joanie White was born August 23, 1958 in Kankakee, IL to LeRoy and Eddie Mae Williams White. She was of the Baptist faith. Joanie graduated from Westview High School in 1977 and was employed at Ford Motor Company in Chicago Heights, IL. She leaves to cherish her memory, one daughter, JerÃ¢â‚¬â„¢Vace White of Lithonia, GA; her mother, Eddie Mae White of Riverdale, GA; two brothers, Stanley White of Riverdale, GA and Victor Wilkins of Atlanta, GA; six sisters and two brothers-in-law, Beverly and Reverend Joe Fair of Kankakee, IL, Pam Hinds of Jonesboro, GA, Dean and Dee Westbrook of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Jamie White of St. Paul, MN, Tiffany White of Chesapeake, VA and Candyce White of Kankakee, IL; one grandson, Jaylin White; four aunts, Earlene Handson and Kathrine King, both of Kankakee, IL, Frances Crossley of Georgia and Lizella and Norman Palmer of Markham, IL; four uncles, Johnny Williams of Waterloo, IA, Kirby Williams of Kankakee, IL, Foree White of Arizona and Tom White of Chicago, IL; one great aunt, Beatrice Dunigan of Kankakee, IL; one great uncle, A. Q. Staples of Bourbonnais, IL; a special friend, Charles Phillips of Jonesboro, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy J. White, her stepfather, Aaron K. White and a son, Jymel D. Lillard.
