Ende Ward Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ende Deandra Ward, 41, of Kankakee, passed away March 8, 2019 at Ingalls Hospital Hospice Unit in Harvey, IL. Visitation will be Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 2:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 3:00 P.M. at Lax Mortuary. Reverend Jessie Johnson will officiate and Reverend Lori Holmes will deliver the eulogy. Cremation rites will be accorded. Ende Deandra Ward was born March 7, 1978 in Oak Park, IL to Delores Ward Smith and Darryl Ward. Ende was baptized at the age of seven at Caldwell Chapel AME Zion Church. She graduated from Kankakee High School and attended Kankakee Community College and Governors State University where she pursued a BachelorÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Degree in counseling. She worked as a certified nursing assistant at the Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno until she became ill. She enjoyed caring for the residents and she would light up their rooms upon entering. She also worked for Aquativa Water Filtration in phone sales. She was a top sales representative and received marvelous travel perks. Ende was friendly, sociable, kind and giving and she truly loved her family and friends. She liked dressing in the latest fashions and wearing beautiful hair styles. She enjoyed singing along to old school music, doing crossword puzzles and traveling. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother and stepfather, Delores Ward Smith and Ronald D. Smith of Kankakee, IL; her father Darryl R. Ward (Judy) of Chicago, IL; five sisters, Darice Ward of San Antonio, TX, Dawn Ward (Derek) of Fayetteville, GA, Norine Ward of Chicago, IL, Darrille Rose Ward of Greenbelt, MD and Darryl Ward II of Houston, TX; nieces and nephews, Clifton Jackson and Kendrea Edwards, both of San Antonio, TX, Dakota Birdsong of Fayetteville, GA, Desean Rhode and Dejour Rhode of Chicago, IL; aunts, Carol Perry of Petersburg, VA, Frances Perry Smith, Karen Perry Bertrand, Robin Perry and Michelle Perry, all of Richmond, VA, and Linda Ward of Chicago, IL; uncles, Carl Perry (Tracy) of Richmond, VA, James Perry (Kim) of Washington, DC, Wayne Ward of Los Angeles, CA, Jimmy Ward, Michael Ward (Bonita) Jerome Ward and Ricky Ward, all of Chicago, IL; God-daughter, Daniyah Childs; special friends, LaShawna Minor and Shiquita Davis and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Carl Perry and Clarence Ward; her grandmothers, Fannie B. Perry and Jimmie M. Ward and one uncle, Larry Ward.
