Domonique D. Terrell, 34, of Bourbonnais, IL passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019. Visitation will be Thursday, December 5, 2019 at Lax Mortuary from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Friday, December 6, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Evangelist Carolyn Butler will officiate and Pastor Joe Fair will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory. Domonique D. Terrell was born May 31, 1985 in Kankakee, IL to Mildred D. Pruitte and Kevin B. Smith Sr. She was baptized at Christ Temple in 1995. She was a manager at Marshalls and was employed for over 10 years. Prior to that she was a certified nursing assistant at Provena Heritage Lodge. She was united in holy matrimony to Cedric Terrell Jr. on February 23, 2011. Domonique loved to minister and uplift others. Her interests included hair, makeup, crafts and gifts, dancing and cooking. She enjoyed basketball, football and Eastside cheerleading. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Cedric Terrell Jr. of Bourbonnais, IL; four sons, Jwaquese Springer, S’Jontee Springer, Cedric Terrell III and Cam’Ron Terrell, all of Bourbonnais, IL; her mother and stepfather, Mildred and Will Pruitte of Channahon, IL; her father, Kevin B. Smith Sr. of Kankakee, IL; ‘stepmother,’ Tonya Bledson of Minneapolis, MN; brothers and sister-in-law, Kevin B. and Doris Smith of Kansas City, MO, Elshamane Smith of Kankakee, IL, Kearies Smith and Markeice Smith, both of Minnesota, Randy Smith and Danari Smith, both of Kankakee, IL, Davarious Norwood of Milwaukee, WI and Zhy’Kheirie Smith of Kankakee, IL; four sisters, Natasha Fields of Bourbonnais, IL, Shanekwa Smith of Atlanta, GA, Shatoya Smith of Kankakee, IL and Tailore Springer of Milwaukee, WI; paternal grandparents, John W. and Essie Smith of Kankakee, IL; paternal aunts, Sherry R. Smith of Crawford, MS, Tamika Smith and Katrina Smith, both of Kankakee, IL and Chaquessa A. Smith of Georgia; paternal uncles, John L. (Tommysha) Smith Sr. of Georgia, Dinerro T. (Shennetha) Smith Sr. of Conyers, GA, Bobby W. (Vanessa) Harkins of Knoxville, TN, Timothy (Angela) Sykes and Craig (Monica) Sykes, all of Columbus, MS and Ravic Gray of Kankakee, IL; maternal uncles, Bennie and Pam Lockridge of Gainesville, TX, Henry Gaines Sr. of Kankakee, IL, Darrin and Lydia Anderson of Tampa, FL and Phillip and Patsey Anderson of Kankakee, IL; maternal aunts, Joyce and Ivy Anderson of Kankakee, IL and Pinkcold and George Autman of Pembroke Township, IL, and a host of nieces, including Zy’eria D. Fields, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jeffery Davis and Delores Anderson; paternal grandmother, Muggie Bell-Smith; maternal great-grandmother, Kitty Carter and maternal uncle, DeWayne Gaines.
