Deidre Simpkins, 51, of Kankakee, IL, died Monday, January 28, 2019 at Riverside Medical Center. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Lax Mortuary and again on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at Lax Mortuary. Cremation rites will be accorded. Deidre Simpkins was born June 9, 1967 in Chicago, IL to Samuel Simpkins and Betty Jones. She graduated from St. Anne High School. Deidre was a child care provider. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Lacteci Porch of Kankakee, IL; two daughters, Shenita Davis and Dominique Simpkins, both of Kankakee, IL; two brothers, Courtney Simpkins of Elkhart, IN and Marlon Simpkins of Kankakee, IL; two sisters; a special friend, Robert Armstrong of Kankakee, IL; seven grandchildren, Treden Davis, Taylor Davis, Khyelle Malone, Trinity Davis, Amir Jones, Micahi Dabney and Dakari Spears and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and father.
