Douglas A. Dean, age 76, of Kankakee, died Thursday, March 2, 2017 at his home. Visitation will be Friday, March 17, 2017 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Lax Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 18, 2017 at 9:00 A.M. at Wildwood Church of the Nazarene, 425 East Court Street, Kankakee, IL. Eulogists will be Pastors Granville Romer and Andy Hanson. Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory. Memorials may be made via his GoFundMe campaign under Douglas Daddy D. Dean. Douglas A. Dean was the youngest of eight children born to Elijah and Mary Dean on November 7, 1940 on the Island of Lorimers, Turks and Caicos. Before residing in Kankakee, IL, for the past 24 years, he was formerly of Freeport Grand Bahama. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, George, David, Eric, Aldon and Robert Dean and two sisters, Lenora Williams and Eliza Stubbs.
