Clorinda Jones Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Clorinda Rene Jones, was the last child born to Willie Mack and Lula Mae Jones, April 7, 1963, in Clifton, Illinois. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Morning Star MBC under the pastorate of Pastor William H. Copeland Jr. She was a 1982 graduate of Kankakee Eastridge High School. Clorinda, affectionately known to everyone as “Clo” or “Bull,” never met a stranger. She would strike up conversation with any and every one. She left her mark on each person she met with her contagious smile and larger than life wit. She was the life and laughter of every party and family gathering. Her quirky stories, imitations, and wild dance moves would always leave your belly aching from laughter. She loved sitting outside with a nice cold Bull, listening to her favorite music as loud as it would go (Frankie Beverly & Maze, Al Green, & Bobby Blue Bland), watching Lifetime and Hallmark, walking all over Kankakee visiting her closest friends, and shopping at her favorite store, Family Dollar. Most of all, she loved babysitting, cooking and shopping for all her nieces and nephews. She made sure it was known that she was “the fun Auntie.” Clorinda leaves to cherish her memory, three brothers, Jimmie, Rodell (Vickie), Bill (Joyce), and four sisters, Carrie, Bernice, Betty, Barbara; extended siblings of South Bend, Indiana; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, her favorite cousin and best friend, Claudine Brooks-Thompson and her loving, loyal dog-son, Ting Ting. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Mack and Lula Mae Jones, two brothers, Ray Reed and Willie James “Jimbo” Jones, her nephew Cameron Jones, and her best friend, Mona McKnight.
