Benetter Peak was born August 19, 1930 in Trenton, Tennessee to Theodore Pelt and Ardlee Conner Coffee. She was loved and nurtured by her stepfather, Louis Coffee. She attended school in La Forge, Missouri. She was a member of Zion Travel Church in Chicago, IL where she served as an usher for many years. She was united in holy matrimony to Alonzo Peak Sr. in 1950 and to their union, one son was born. Benetter was a culinary chef at the Wrigley Cafeteria in the Wrigley building and retired after 30 years of service. She loved her grandchildren and she enjoyed baking and sewing. She leaves to cherish her memory, five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Nellie Bell Riley and Easter Bell, both of New Madrid, MO, Jessie Lee and Jimmy McMillon of Chicago, IL, Delores and James Williams of Kankakee, IL and Julia Johnson of Tennessee; two grandsons, Antoine Peak and Robert Peak; two great-grandchildren; a special cousin, Lena Tripp of Chicago, IL and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, Alonzo Peak Jr.; one brother, Charlie Coffee and one sister, Beulah Philips.
