Althea L. Jackson was born July 22, 1971 in Jackson, Mississippi to Tommie and Doris Randall Carpenter. She was a 1989 graduate of Kankakee High School and was a member of Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Althea was employed by Trinity Services. She had worked as a caseworker for the Wisconsin Department of Children and Family Services and also worked as a CNA for Carepaks Health Services and A Caring Touch, both in Bloomington, IL. Althea loved life and enjoyed it to the fullest. She was outspoken and enjoyed fishing with her husband and spending time with her nieces and nephews. She loved dogs and had a life ambition of becoming a veterinarian and running a business providing transportation for the disabled. Althea was united in holy matrimony to Christopher Jackson on August 3, 2016. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Christopher Jackson of Kankakee, IL; her stepchildren, Owen Jackson, Olivia Jackson and Avery Jackson, all of Kankakee, IL; her mother, Doris Carpenter of Kankakee, IL; two brothers, Tony Muhammad of Kankakee, IL and Christopher Carpenter of Bloomington, IL; one sister and brother-in-law, Paula and Daniel Pemberton of Bloomington, IL; aunts, Myrtle Radford and Lena Randall, both of Sun River Terrace, IL; Lula Buckley and Tinnie Grant, both of Jackson, Mississippi and Sandra Jackson of Kankakee, IL; uncles, Donald and Nadine Randall of Crystal Springs, Mississippi and Roy Carpenter of Jackson, Mississippi; her mother-in-law, Sue Jackson of Kankakee, IL; father-in-law, Reginald Norris of Dallas, TX; brothers-in-law, Craig and Nancy Jackson of Brooklyn Park, MN and Darrell Jackson of Austin, TX; special friends, Aria Murrell and Shalonna McLemore, both of Kankakee, IL, Tora Kizer of Jackson, TN and Theresa Mack of Richmond, VA, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Tommie Carpenter and a brother, Andra Carpenter.
