Anthony Wayne Hines, 54, of Ball Ground, GA, formerly of Kankakee, IL, died Friday, June 5, 2015. Visitation will be Thursday, June 18, 2015 from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Lax Mortuary and again on Friday, June 19, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until time of Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M. at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church. Pastor Ernest Rucker will officiate. Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory. Anthony Wayne Hines was born January 3, 1961 in Kankakee, IL to Leonard C. and Jessie Mae Crowell Hines. Anthony, fondly called Ã¢â‚¬Å"Tony,Ã¢â‚¬Â completed high school early and then moved to Oceanside, California, to attend college. It was there that he met and on June 23, 1991, married the former Christine Moore, and they began a family with their only son, Hurd. Tony and Christine relocated to Alpharetta, GA in August of 2009 from Antelope, California, where he was employed by Hewlett-Packard. He and Christine lived in Cumming, GA before settling down in Ball Ground, GA. His passions were fast cars, music and gardening. Tony was a God-fearing man who was loved and respected by everyone who knew him-his colleagues from Hewlett-Packard, ChristineÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s colleagues from World Financial Group, neighbors and friends-but most of all, his family. On June 5, 2015, the Lord our God-Who is the Author and Finisher of our faith-called him home. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Christine Hines of Ball Ground, GA; his son, Hurd Sims IV of Oceanside, CA; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Eddie Charles Crowell of Indio, CA and Darrell and Gregoria Hines of Vista, CA; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Susan Hines of Vista, CA, Cynthia and David Nelson of Matteson, IL and Melaine and Vladimir Ramos of Kankakee, IL; one aunt, Verinda White of Kankakee, IL; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edie and Joseph Roberts of Chicago Heights, IL; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Edie Moore of Midway Park, NC, Joseph and Ruth Moore of Vista, CA and Chievon Griffin of Shrewsbury, PA; his dog, Buster Boy, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Larry L. Crowell and one nephew, Eddie Crowell Jr. Tony, Hurd and I love and miss you deeply. See you when the trumpet blows! Love Chris & Hurd
