Annie Louise Williams, 85, of Kankakee, IL, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at her daughterÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s residence in Dolton, IL. Visitation will be Friday, October 20, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at Lax Mortuary. Reverend Alicestine Bryson will officiate. Burial, in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL, will be October 26, 2017. Annie Louise Williams, also known as Ã¢â‚¬Å"Lou,Ã¢â‚¬Â was born March 30, 1932 in Texarkana, TX. Annie was the youngest girl of nine children born to Jack and Rachael Hale Jones. Annie received her education in Texas. She attended Dunbar Middle School, and graduated from Dunbar High School. Annie met the love of her life, George Williams, in Texas. They were united in holy matrimony on February 8, 1951, and to this union six children were born. Annie was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She took pride in caring for her home and children. Annie enjoyed a great cup of coffee, or can of Dr. Pepper, while watching her Chicago Teams, (Cubs, Bulls, Bears). She especially enjoyed playing cards with her family/friends, playing the lottery, and traveling. Annie accepted Christ at an early age. She was a Christian along with others in her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Williams; two daughters, Jacqueline Spruell and Phyllis Miller; one son, Gregory Williams; five brothers, Val, Robert, Tom, Henry and Tim Jones; one sister, Jessie Hopkins; one grandson, Alexander (Herman) Williams, and one son-in-law, Gregory Isom. Annie leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Antionette Lincoln of Kankakee, IL and Jeanette Isom of Dolton IL; one son, Darryl Williams of Kankakee, IL; one brother, Howard Jones of Manteno, IL; one sister, Cora Sykes of Palm Bay, FL; sixteen grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
