Nayela Medrano, 16, of Kankakee, IL passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Presence St. MaryÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Hospital. Visitation will be Saturday, March 25, 2017 from 5:00 P.M. until time of funeral services at 8:00 P.M. at Lax Mortuary. The Reverend Father Fredy Santos will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded. Nayela Medrano was born January 11, 2001 in Chicago, IL to Jose and Eva Medrano. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church and was a sophomore at Kankakee High School. She liked music, WWE and reading, and was a fan of the group One Direction and Club America Soccer Team. She leaves to cherish her memory, her parents of Kankakee, IL; two brothers, Victor and Stephanie Medrano of Belvidere, IL and Uriel and Krystal Medrano of Carpentersville, IL; one sister, Ana Patricia Medrano and Jose Ruiz of Kankakee, IL; grandparents, Carmen and Nicolas Medina and Angelina and Artemio Medrano, all of Guanajuato, Mexico; nieces, Janessa, Liyah, Hillary and Maggy; a nephew, Victor Jr.; twelve aunts; eight uncles and a host of other relatives and friends.
