Michael Hines

Thirty-five years young and the heartbeat of the family, Michael Roman Hines was born to Rori Lynette Hines (sunset 1994), reared by Romesa “Big Mamma” Hines-Holt (sunset 2007) and raised by Norma Jean “TeeTee” Hines. Michael Hines was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Zelma Olawumi. Michael “Mike” entered this world as a true gift to the Hines family on May 27, 1988, and easily became the glue holding the family together and the centerpiece connecting all family ties. Cherished, adored, admired, respected, reverenced, and deeply loved by all who knew him, Mike Hines was literally everything to everyone. Mike leaves behind three beautiful children; Ciara Hines 14 years of age, Tiylynn Hines 12 years of age, and Cashius Hines 2.5 years of age. Parting from his sister Danielle Jeffries (Jeremiah), brothers Denel Howery (Anjani), Dante Hines and the mother that raised him Norma Jean “TeeTee” Hines (Anthony). Michael Roman Hines also leaves behind his brothers for life (Wesley Spinks, Gino Izaguirre, Sergio Izaguirre) and his favorite cousin Romesa Harwell along with his uncles Gordon Hines (Constance), Frank Hines (Amanda), Jerel Hines (Kimmy); aunts Rochelle Perpignan (Roland), Ruwanda Harwell; cousins, Ryan Hines, Sabrina Hines, Alena Hugger, Xavier Woods, Jervonshe’ Hines, Michanda Crim (Greg), Ryan Harwell, D’Angelo McCurry, Alexandria Hines, Taylor Hines, Kingston Perpignan, Kelly Perpignan, Rebecca Perpignan, Amanda Kochan (Kamil); and a host of family, friends, and coworkers. Michael Hines was born in Kankakee, IL and graduated from Bolingbrook High School. He was a gifted artist in the form of dance and rap. He had a great ear for musical sounds and pitches and was a wordsmith when creating lyrics for his rap creations. Mike was a true leader on the job as a lead/supervisor for Rise Baking Company. He was an honorable, exemplary, and stellar employee consistently working overtime and not allowing his personal life to interfere with his professional life. He took care of life’s business and responsibilities as a man. Mike’s most amazing and his favorite contributions to earth are of great importance and are now our responsibility as a way to honor Mike’s legacy of love; Ciara, Tiylynn, and Cashius.
