Michael Ã¢â‚¬Å"Big MikeÃ¢â‚¬Â Euell, 47, of Park Forest, IL, formerly of Kankakee, IL, died Friday, March 4, 2016 at St. James Hospital, Chicago Heights, IL. Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Lax Mortuary and again on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Dr. Charee Baker will officiate and Dr. Charles Baker will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory. Michael Ã¢â‚¬Å"Big MikeÃ¢â‚¬Â Euell was born December 26, 1968 in Kankakee, IL to Labron Ã¢â‚¬Å"LBÃ¢â‚¬Â Boykin and Angelisa Nelson Boykin. He was raised and educated in Kankakee and graduated from Kankakee High School in 1987, where he excelled in basketball and football and received various awards and honors. He then furthered his education at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL. Mike was just like his dad, he was an individual of love and kindness and known as the Ã¢â‚¬Å"Gentle Giant.Ã¢â‚¬Â He had a big heart and was known for his smile, which could light up any room or spirit. He loved making his family and friends laugh and he has many friends. He enjoyed traveling, going to concerts, card games, gambling and being with family. He was recently employed at BASF Chemical and CSL Behring. He was united in Holy Matrimony to the former Angie L. Johnson on June 13, 2015. He leaves to treasure his life, his wife, Angie L. Euell of Park Forest, IL; two step-sons, Malcolm (Jasmina) and Julian Bridges, both of Louisville, KY, his mother, Angelisa Boykin of Kankakee, IL; his step-father, Hubert Euell of Kankakee, IL; two brothers, Mark (Veryl Boykin Sr. of Joliet, IL and Bryan Euell of Kankakee, IL; two sisters, Brenda Euell of Kankakee, IL and Marilyn (Petie Stewart) Boykin of Columbus, OH; his mother-in-law, Dr. Essie Baker and his father-in-law, Dr. Charles W. Baker of Flossmoor, IL and Walter Pritchard of Louisville, KY; brother-in-law, Dr. Charee (Kim) Baker of Flossmoor, IL; three nephews, Marquise Boykin of Columbus, OH, Mark Boykin Jr. of Joliet, IL and Maxwell Stewart of Columbus, OH; two nieces, Madison Boykin of Joliet, IL and Lavryn Newton of Flossmoor, IL; three aunts, Mattie McDowell of Phoenix, AZ, Mary Ann Gaddy and Rosemary Nelson, both of Kankakee, IL; one God-daughter, KiÃ¢â‚¬â„¢Mya Taborn of Bloomington, IL and a host of relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Labron Ã¢â‚¬Å"LBÃ¢â‚¬Â Boykin; his uncle, Jobie Nelson III; his maternal grandparents, Jobie Jr. and Mary Nelson; his paternal grandparents, Lester and Maudie Boykin and a niece, Ciera Boykin.
